Story and Plot of Verity

The story follows Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer who receives an unexpected professional opportunity. She is hired to continue the successful book series of renowned author Verity Crawford.

Following a serious accident, Verity is unable to continue her writing career. Her husband, Jeremy Crawford, invites Lowen to stay at their remote family home while she works on the unfinished books.

Initially, Lowen believes the assignment will be an important opportunity to improve her career. However, her experience at the Crawford estate gradually becomes more complicated.

While exploring the house and organizing the author’s writing materials, Lowen discovers an unpublished autobiographical manuscript. Its contents reveal disturbing accounts of the Crawford family’s past.

The discovery raises several questions about Verity’s personal history, her relationship with Jeremy, and the circumstances surrounding the family’s tragedies.

Lowen becomes increasingly uncertain about what she has discovered. She must decide whether the manuscript represents genuine personal accounts or something entirely different.

As the mystery develops, the distinction between truth, imagination, and deception becomes increasingly difficult to understand.
